Xajsi parliament
The Simad University Student Parliament is a body of 30 members, each representing one of the university’s academic programs. This Parliament plays a crucial role in fostering collaboration among students, developing governance bylaws, and representing the university in various external engagements. Among its achievements, the Parliament successfully formulated operational bylaws and organized a study tour to the Upper House of Somalia, contributing to the members’ understanding of governance and leadership.
What We Do ?
Legislation
Drafting, debating, and enacting laws that govern the organization or entity it represents.
Bylaws
Creating internal regulations and guidelines to govern the functioning and operations of the Parliament.
Approval of Ministries
Reviewing and approving appointments, or actions proposed by ministries or relevant authorities.
Accountability
Ensuring the government and its ministries are held accountable for their actions, policies, and use of public funds.
Representation:
Acting as the voice of the people, representing the interests and concerns of citizens in the decision-making process.
Conflict Resolution
Mediating and resolving disputes within the student community to foster mutual understanding, harmony, and effective cooperation
